B-Myb Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects B-Myb protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). B-Myb (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. B-Myb protein plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly during the transition from G1 phase to S phase, where B-Myb expression is significantly upregulated following mitogenic stimulation. Such regulation allows cells to progress through the cell cycle and divide, which is essential for tissue growth and repair. B-Myb expression has been shown to counteract p53-induced G1 arrest mediated by p21, highlighting B-Myb′s importance in cellular proliferation and survival, especially in hematopoietic cells. B-Myb activity is tightly controlled, as aberrant expression can lead to oncogenic transformations, making B-Myb a significant focus in cancer research.
