SEE ALSO...

ATIII Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ATIII protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ATIII monoclonal antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Antithrombin III (ATIII) plays a vital role in the regulation of the coagulation cascade, acting as a serine protease inhibitor that specifically targets thrombin and factors IXa, Xa, and XIa, thereby preventing excessive blood clotting. ATIII enhances inhibitory activity in the presence of heparin, a naturally occurring anticoagulant. This regulation is crucial for maintaining hemostatic balance, and deficiencies in the SERPINC1 gene, which encodes ATIII, can lead to ATIII deficiency, an autosomal dominant condition that increases the risk of thrombophilia. Understanding ATIII function is essential for developing therapeutic strategies for clotting disorders and improving patient outcomes in conditions related to abnormal coagulation.
