When should the TransCruz reagent sc-243 X be used instead of the standard form sc-243?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Specific for ATF1 in WBI overexpressed GFP-tagged ATF1, CREB and CREM in HEK293 cells. ATF1 C41-5.1 was specific to ATF1 in WB, as it recognised only GFP-ATF1 protein, but not GFP-CREB or GFP-CREM. Dilution 1:200 worked very well in WB with overexpressed ATF1 in HEK293 cells, but failed to recognize endogenous ATF1 and gave a very strong background signal in rat primary cortical neuron lysates.
