ATAD3A/B/C Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ATAD3A, ATAD3B, and ATAD3C proteins of human origin, as well as ATAD3A protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ATAD3A/B/C antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ATAD3A protein plays a crucial role in mitochondrial function, particularly in stabilizing mitochondrial nucleoids, which are essential for organizing and maintaining mitochondrial DNA. These nucleoids are large complexes consisting of mtDNA and associated proteins, and their stability is vital for proper mitochondrial replication and transcription. Disruption of ATAD3A function can lead to mitochondrial dysfunction, implicated in various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and certain types of cancer. ATAD3A, ATAD3B, and ATAD3C genes are located on human chromosome 1, a region encompassing over 3,000 genes and representing approximately 8% of the human genome, highlighting these proteins′ importance in cellular processes and potential as therapeutic targets.
