AT1 Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AT1 (G-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AT1 protein, also known as Angiotensin II type-1 receptor, plays a crucial role in blood pressure and fluid balance regulation by mediating Angiotensin II′s physiological effects, including vasoconstriction, aldosterone release stimulation, and sodium reabsorption enhancement. AT1 protein activates multiple intracellular signaling pathways contributing to cardiovascular homeostasis. As a G protein-coupled receptor family member, AT1 features seven transmembrane domains that facilitate extracellular signal transmission into cells. Ang II binding triggers conformational changes in AT1 protein, activating downstream signaling cascades, including phospholipase C gamma pathway, leading to phosphorylation of Shc and MAP kinases. This activation modulates various cellular responses, including growth factor signaling and cellular proliferation. AT1 protein′s interaction with Src kinases and multiple phosphorylation sites highlights AT1′s significance in cardiovascular signaling and potential therapeutic targeting for hypertension and heart failure.

Hello, I am interested in using sc-515884 conjugated to an Alexa Fluor in mouse brain tissue. What are is required to perform the staining and do additional reagents need to be purchased to ensure no cross-reactivity in the mouse tissue?

Does anybody have experience in IHC-P with this antibody? Thanks

Asked by: A Robert
Thank you for your question. AT1 Antibody (G-3): sc-515884 is recommended for detection of AT1 types 1A and 1B of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. Based on our tests with this antibody we cannot recommend it for IHC(P), as it has not produced reliable results. So far we have not received any customer feedback on this product indicating otherwise. For further information, please contact our technical service.
