    Aspartoacylase-3 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Aspartoacylase-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Aspartoacylase-3 (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Aspartoacylase-3, also known as aminoacylase-3, is a 319 amino acid protein primarily expressed in proximal tubules of the kidney, where Aspartoacylase-3 plays a crucial role in deacetylating mercapturic acids, contributing to renal detoxification processes. Aspartoacylase-3 localizes in the cytoplasm of S2 and S3 proximal tubules, and appears in the apical domain of S1 proximal tubules, underscoring Aspartoacylase-3′s importance in renal physiology and potential implications in kidney-related disorders. Aspartoacylase-3 is also expressed at lower levels in stomach, testis, heart, brain, lung, and liver, and may function as a core binding protein for Hepatitis C virus, linking Aspartoacylase-3 to viral pathogenesis. The gene encoding Aspartoacylase-3 is located on human chromosome 11, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome and Niemann-Pick disease, highlighting Aspartoacylase-3′s potential relevance in both health and disease contexts.
