ARK5 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects NUAK1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARK5 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NUAK1, also known as omphalocele kinase 1, is a 658 amino acid protein located in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, featuring a single protein kinase domain. NUAK1 plays a crucial role in several cellular processes, including cell adhesion, regulation of cell ploidy and senescence, cell proliferation, and tumor progression. NUAK1′s location in the cell influences signaling pathways vital for cellular responses to stress and growth signals. Nuclear presence of NUAK1 allows interaction with key regulatory proteins, such as p53, thereby impacting cell cycle control and apoptosis. NUAK1′s phosphorylation of various substrates, including Atm, caspase-6, LATS1, and MYPT1, underscores significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to oncogenic signals. Homozygous NUAK1 mutants exhibit omphalocele, a serious developmental defect characterized by the failure of the abdominal wall to close, highlighting NUAK1′s essential role in embryonic development.
