ARID1B Antibody (KMN1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ARID1B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-ARID1B antibody (KMN1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARID1B, also known as BAF250b or AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 1B, is a crucial component of the SWI/SNF chromatin-remodeling complex, which plays a significant role in regulating gene expression by altering chromatin structure. ARID1B consists of 2,236 amino acids and features an ARID domain, which is essential for DNA binding and chromatin remodeling. ARID1B involvement extends to various cellular processes, including differentiation and development, as well as association with several cancers when mutated. ARID1B interacts with key proteins such as Smad2 and Smad3, which are vital for TGF-beta signaling pathways, further underscoring a role in cellular signaling and gene regulation. Localized primarily in the nucleus, ARID1B is widely expressed, with particularly high levels found in the heart, skeletal muscle, and kidney, and ARID1B gene is conserved across multiple species, including chimpanzees, dogs, and zebrafish, mapping to human chromosome 6q25.3. ARID1B exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
