SEE ALSO...

ARHGAP4 Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ARHGAP4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ARHGAP4 antibody (G-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARHGAP4, also known as Rho GTPase activating protein 4, RGC1, C1, p115, or RhoGAP4, is a cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell motility and axon outgrowth by modulating cytoskeletal dynamics. ARHGAP4 contains one Rho-GAP domain, one FCH (Fps/Fes/Fer/CIP4 homology) domain, and one SH3 (Src homology 3) domain, which are essential for inhibiting Rho GTPases such as Cdc42 and Rac1. These GTPases promote cell motility and axon outgrowth, making ARHGAP4 a significant player in cellular processes related to migration and development. ARHGAP4 is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic cells, with additional presence in lung, placenta, and certain fetal tissues, and localizes to the leading edge of migrating cells, axons, and growth cones, highlighting its importance in cellular movement and neural development.

Can ARHGAP4 (G-6): sc-376251 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, ARHGAP4 (G-6): sc-376251 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
