ARAP1 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ARAP1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ARAP1 (A-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ARAP1, also known as ARFGAP, Rho GAP, and Centaurin δ2, is characterized by its unique structure, which includes ARFGAP, Rho GAP, ankyrin repeat, RAS-associating, and pleckstrin homology domains. This structural complexity enables ARAP1 to perform essential functions in cellular signaling and membrane trafficking. ARAP1 exhibits Rho GAP and phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5) trisphosphate (PIP3)-dependent ARFGAP activities, which are vital for regulating Golgi apparatus dynamics and facilitating filopodia formation. ARAP1′s Rho GAP activity plays a significant role in mediating cell rounding and stress fiber disassembly, processes important for cell motility and shape changes during various physiological and pathological events. ARAP1 expression is notably abundant in ovary, lung, liver, and kidney, with Northern blot analysis revealing a ubiquitous 5.5 kb transcript and an additional 7 kb transcript present in heart and skeletal muscle, highlighting diverse functional roles across different tissues.
