SEE ALSO...

Apg-1 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Apg-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Apg-1, also known as HSPA4L or osmotic stress protein 94, is an 839 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role as a molecular chaperone, facilitating proper protein folding and preventing aggregation, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis under stress conditions. Anti-Apg-1 antibody (C-6) recognizes a protein primarily located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, with nuclear translocation following heat shock highlighting its importance in cellular stress responses and gene expression regulation. Apg-1 (C-6) antibody provides reliable detection and characterization of this essential protein, making it valuable for researchers studying stress response mechanisms and related pathways in various biological contexts.

Can Apg-1 (C-6): sc-137027 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. Yes, Apg-1 (C-6): sc-137027 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
