SEE ALSO...

Apg-1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Apg-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Apg-1, also known as HSPA4L or Osp94, is an 839 amino acid protein belonging to the HSP 110 family, which plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses by acting as a molecular chaperone. Apg-1 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where Apg-1 assists in proper protein folding and prevents protein aggregation, particularly under stress conditions such as heat shock. Nuclear translocation of Apg-1 following heat shock suggests a regulatory role in cellular stress response, potentially influencing gene expression and cellular survival. Anti-Apg-1 antibody (B-7) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying heat shock protein dynamics and their implications in various physiological and pathological processes.

I am using Apg-1 (B-7): sc-137007 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
