SEE ALSO...

APC7 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects APC7 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). APC7 (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The anaphase-promoting complex (APC), which includes more than ten subunits such as APC1, APC2, APC4, APC5, APC7, APC8, APC10, and APC11, plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation by facilitating the separation of sister chromatids during the transition from metaphase to anaphase in mitosis. APC7, also known as ANAPC7, mediates interaction between APC and transcription coactivators CBP and p300, which are essential for gene expression regulation during cell division. Proper functioning of APC7 and the entire APC complex is vital for maintaining genomic stability, as dysregulation can lead to aneuploidy and contribute to tumorigenesis. APC is activated through phosphorylation by protein kinases such as Cdk1/cyclin B and polo-like kinase (Plk), with activity tightly regulated by factors like CDC20, CDH1, and MAD2, which ensure accurate cell cycle progression.
