APC10 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects APC10 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). APC10 (B-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. APC10 plays a crucial role in the anaphase-promoting complex (APC), which is essential for proper cell cycle progression. Specifically, APC10 participates in the ubiquitination process that targets mitotic cyclins and other regulatory proteins for degradation, facilitating sister chromatid separation during mitosis. This function maintains genomic stability and prevents errors in cell division that can lead to cancer. APC10 contains a Doc1 homology domain, a structural feature characteristic of many E3 ubiquitin ligases, and interacts with core APC subunits throughout the cell cycle. During mitosis, APC10 localizes to centrosomes and mitotic spindles, as well as kinetochores from prophase to anaphase, and appears at the midbody during telophase and cytokinesis. APC10′s regulation and interactions with other proteins, such as CDC20 and CDH1, are critical for precise cell cycle control, highlighting APC10′s importance in cellular function and potential as a therapeutic target.
