    ANT2 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ANT2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ANT2 Antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ANT2, also known as SLC25A5, is a 298 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein predominantly located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where ANT2 plays a crucial role in cellular energy metabolism. ANT2 functions as a homodimer, facilitating the exchange of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) between the mitochondrion and the cytosol, effectively linking ATP production within the mitochondria to ATP utilization in the cytosol. ANT2′s importance is underscored by involvement in cellular processes; for instance, suppression of ANT2 in breast cancer cells has been shown to induce apoptosis and inhibit tumor growth, indicating potential role in carcinogenesis. Additionally, ANT2 interacts with other mitochondrial proteins, such as ANT3, which shares functional similarities but may also contribute to the formation of the permeability transition pore complex, a structure critical for regulating apoptosis. This multifaceted role of ANT2 in energy metabolism and implications in cancer biology make anti-ANT2 antibody (F-7) an essential tool for researchers studying mitochondrial function and related pathologies.
