AMIGO1 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects AMIGO1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AMIGO1 antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The AMIGO family of proteins, which includes AMIGO-1, AMIGO-2, and AMIGO-3, consists of single-pass type I membrane proteins characterized by several leucine-rich repeats, an immunoglobulin domain, and a transmembrane domain. These proteins are predominantly located on the fiber tracts of neuronal tissues, where AMIGO proteins play a critical role in the formation and maintenance of neural connections. AMIGO-1, also known as Alivin-2, promotes the growth and fasciculation of neurites, which is vital for proper neural development and myelination of axons. AMIGO-1 can interact with other members of the AMIGO family, facilitating complex formation that enhances functional roles in cell signaling and communication. AMIGO proteins engage in homophilic and heterophilic interactions, highlighting their significance in neuronal development and nervous system integrity.
