αPAK Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects αPAK in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). αPAK (A-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. αPAK, a member of the p21-activated kinase (PAK) family, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways by acting as a downstream effector of the small GTPases Rac1 and Cdc42, which are pivotal in regulating cytoskeletal dynamics, cell motility, and growth. αPAK interaction with these GTPases is essential for activation, leading to autophosphorylation at specific serine and threonine residues, including Ser 19, Ser 141, and Thr 402. Notably, phosphorylation at Ser 141 and Thr 402 directly correlates with γPAK activation, one of the PAK family isoforms. Upon activation, PAK isoforms dissociate from GTPase partners to phosphorylate downstream substrates, such as Mek kinase, which is involved in the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway. This intricate regulation of signaling pathways underscores αPAK importance in various cellular processes, making anti-αPAK antibody (A-6) a valuable tool for researchers studying these critical mechanisms in cell biology.
