SEE ALSO...

p-αPAK Antibody (17.Thr 423) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the Thr 423 phosphorylated αPAK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-αPAK antibody (17.Thr 423) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. The p21-activated kinases (PAK) play a crucial role in cellular signaling, linking Rho GTPases to cytoskeletal reorganization and nuclear signaling, which is vital for processes such as cell migration, proliferation, and survival. Among the three common isoforms—αPAK p68, βPAK p65, and γPAK p62—αPAK is particularly significant due to involvement in the activation of downstream signaling pathways. Phosphorylation of αPAK at Thr 423, catalyzed by Cdc42, is essential for activation, allowing dissociation from the Rac/Cdc42 complex and interaction with downstream substrates like MEK kinase, which is a key player in the JNK signaling pathway. Understanding the dynamics of αPAK phosphorylation and interactions is critical for elucidating the mechanisms of various cellular responses and could provide insights into therapeutic targets for diseases where these pathways are dysregulated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Suitable antibody for Western blottingThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and is recommended for Western blotting. There was medium-weak detection of ~65 kDa PAK in overnight serum-starved human A431 cells treated for 5 minutes with EGF on Western blots, and no significant cross-reactivities on these blots with any off-target proteins.
