SEE ALSO...

α Tubulin Antibody (DM1A) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody, raised against native chick brain microtubules. anti-α Tubulin antibody (DM1A) specifically targets α Tubulin from multiple species, including mouse, rat, human, and avian, and is suitable for various applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). α Tubulin is a key structural component of the cytoskeleton, which, along with β Tubulin, forms heterodimers that assemble into microtubules, dynamic filaments crucial for maintaining cell shape, enabling intracellular transport, and facilitating cell division. The structure of α Tubulin is critical to its function in microtubule polymerization, as α Tubulin provides the stability and flexibility needed for microtubules to undergo rapid assembly and disassembly in response to cellular signals. α Tubulin, along with other Tubulin isoforms like β Tubulin, is essential for the formation of the mitotic spindle during mitosis, ensuring accurate chromosome segregation. α Tubulin is localized in the cytoplasm, where α Tubulin participates in the formation of microtubules, which extend throughout the cell to provide a scaffold for intracellular trafficking and organelle positioning. α Tubulin monoclonal antibody (DM1A) is available in both non-conjugated and conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), agarose, and Alexa Fluor® conjugates, offering flexibility for various experimental designs.

Hi, I cannot find on this page an amount of the α Tubulin Antibody (DM1A) sc-32293? It says 200ug/ml, but does not say the volume. Is this antibody genetically identical to T6199 SIGMA? Is it available in -20C buffer?

Asked by: V_M_
Thank you for your question. This antibody is provided as 200 ug IgG in 1 ml. Yes, this clone DM1A is commercially available from other suppliers. Please contact our Special Orders Department to inquire about alternate formulations suitable for -20C storage.

How can this mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jerojero
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody.
