ALDH9A1 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ALDH9A1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ALDH9A1 (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ALDH9A1, also known as aldehyde dehydrogenase family 9 member A1, E3, ALDH4, ALDH7, or TMABADH, is a 494 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that plays a crucial role in the detoxification of aldehydes, particularly alcohol-derived acetaldehyde, and is highly expressed in adult liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and embryonic brain. One of the significant aspects of ALDH9A1 is its ability to catalyze the irreversible oxidation of a wide range of aldehydes to their corresponding acids in a NAD-dependent reaction, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing the accumulation of toxic aldehyde metabolites.
