ADAR2 Antibody (1.3.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAR2 in mouse, rat, and human samples by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-ADAR2 antibody (1.3.1) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAR2, also known as adenosine deaminase, RNA-specific (RED1), plays a crucial role in RNA editing by converting adenosine to inosine, which is essential for proper nervous system function. ADAR2 is particularly important for editing pre-mRNA of glutamate receptor subunit B, allowing generation of new splice sites and modification of its own pre-mRNA, thereby influencing protein isoform diversity. ADAR2′s ability to move from nucleolus to nucleoplasm enhances editing activity on endogenous substrates, maintaining neuronal excitability and synaptic plasticity. Alternative splicing of ADAR2 results in several transcript variants, which may further modulate RNA editing processes. ADAR2′s significance in post-transcriptional regulation highlights potential therapeutic applications in neurological disorders with disrupted RNA editing.

I am using this ADAR2 antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue sections. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody, and if so, which method?
