ADAM26 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ADAM26 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ADAM26 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ADAM26, a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease) family, is crucial for male fertility as a sperm surface membrane protein that plays a significant role in spermatogenesis and fertilization. ADAM26′s presence on the sperm surface is essential for interaction with the oocyte during fertilization, highlighting its importance in reproductive biology. The ADAM family consists of over 30 membrane-anchored, glycosylated, zinc-dependent proteases involved in various physiological processes, including cell-cell interactions and signaling pathways. ADAM26′s structural composition includes a signal domain, pro-domain, metalloprotease domain, disintegrin domain, cysteine-rich region, epidermal growth factor-like domain, transmembrane domain, and cytoplasmic tail, which collectively contribute to functional versatility.
