SEE ALSO...

ACSVL1 Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ACSVL1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACSVL1 (D-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACSVL1, a member of the acyl-coenzyme A synthetase (ACS) family, plays a crucial role in fatty acid metabolism by activating long-chain and very long-chain fatty acids, which is essential for various cellular processes, including energy production and membrane synthesis. ACSVL1 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of cells, where ACSVL1 facilitates the transport of fatty acids into the cell, thereby influencing lipid metabolism and homeostasis. This localization is particularly important as ACSVL1 allows for the efficient uptake of fatty acids, which are vital substrates for energy production and signaling pathways. The ACSVL1 family, which includes six members classified under the solute carrier family 27A (SLC27A), exhibits unique expression patterns across major organs involved in fatty acid metabolism, such as adipose tissue, liver, heart, and kidney, highlighting ACSVL1′s significance in maintaining metabolic health.
