AChRα6 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects AChRα6 by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-AChRα6 antibody (G-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AChRα6, also known as cholinergic nicotinic receptor α polypeptide 6, plays a crucial role in the central nervous system and is primarily located in the respiratory mucosa and dopaminergic terminals. AChRα6 presence at the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction is vital for the transmission of signals between nerve cells and muscles, as AChRα6 binds acetylcholine and facilitates the movement of ions through its transmembrane pore. This ion flow is essential for muscle contraction and neurotransmission, highlighting AChRα6 importance in both motor function and cognitive processes. AChRα6 forms complexes with AChRβ2 and AChRα4, which are critical for the receptor′s functionality and modulation, making AChRα6 a significant target for research in neurobiology and pharmacology.
