SEE ALSO...

ACAP2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACAP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACAP2 (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACAP2 plays a crucial role in regulating vesicular transport and cytoskeletal organization, which are essential for maintaining cellular structure and function. As a member of the centaurin GTPase-activating protein family, ACAP2 helps transduce phosphoinositide 3-kinase activation into the control of ADP-ribosylation factor-dependent pathways, influencing membrane trafficking processes. ACAP2 interacts with ARF1 and ARF6, while phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate modulates ACAP2′s GAP activity, highlighting ACAP2′s importance in cellular signaling. When overexpressed, ACAP2 blocks the formation of ARF6-dependent cellular protrusions, indicating a regulatory role in cell morphology. ACAP2 also interacts with K1L, a protein necessary for Vaccinia Virus growth, through ankyrin repeats, suggesting potential involvement in viral pathogenesis.

Can ACAP2 (F-8): sc-376150 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, ACAP2 (F-8): sc-376150 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
