ACAP1 Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACAP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACAP1 (B-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACAP1, also known as Centaurin-β 1 (CENTB1 or Cnt-β1), is a crucial member of the ADP ribosylation factor family of ARF6 GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), which play a vital role in regulating ARF proteins′ activity by facilitating their return to an inactive state. ACAP1 functions in the internalization and recycling of integrin receptors, essential for cell adhesion and migration. Once integrins are internalized, ACAP1 directly associates with recycling cargo proteins in the endosome to promote sorting. ACAP1 binds to transferrin receptors, aiding their transport from the endosome to the plasma membrane, influencing cellular iron uptake. Additionally, Akt phosphorylation of ACAP1 at Ser 554 modulates integrin interaction in endosomes, and downregulation of either Akt or ACAP1 can significantly impair cell migration on fibronectin, highlighting ACAP1′s essential role in cellular dynamics and signaling pathways.
