ACAP1 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ACAP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). This interaction is critical, as inhibiting ACAP1 can disrupt protein recycling, thereby affecting cellular processes. Additionally, ACAP1 binds to transferrin receptors, aiding in their transport from the endosome to the plasma membrane, which is vital for iron uptake and cellular homeostasis. Phosphorylation of ACAP1 at Ser 554 by Akt is a regulatory mechanism that influences integrin interaction in endosomes, and downregulation of either Akt or ACAP1 can significantly impair cell migration on fibronectin, highlighting ACAP1′s essential role in cellular dynamics.
