ACAD-11 Antibody (B-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ACAD-11 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACAD-11 (B-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ACAD-11, also known as acyl-Coenzyme A dehydrogenase family member 11, plays a crucial role in fatty acid and amino acid metabolism, serving as a vital energy source for heart and skeletal muscle tissues. This 780 amino acid protein is expressed in three alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 3, which is significant not only for its role in energy metabolism but also for its association with various genetic diseases, including Marfan Syndrome and von Hippel-Lindau syndrome. ACAD-11′s structure, characterized by unique folding and active site configuration, is essential for enzymatic function, allowing catalysis of acyl-CoA substrate dehydrogenation. Understanding ACAD-11′s structure is important for elucidating its role in metabolic pathways and potential implications in metabolic disorders.
