ABCA6 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ABCA6 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ABCA6 (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The ATP-binding cassette (ABC) superfamily, to which ABCA6 belongs, consists of transmembrane proteins that play a crucial role in the energy-dependent transport of diverse substrates across cellular membranes. ABCA6 is a 1617 amino acid protein that is particularly significant in lipid metabolism, as ABCA6 is up-regulated during monocyte differentiation into macrophages, indicating involvement in maintaining lipid homeostasis within immune cells. ABCA6 features two distinct ABC transporter domains and is expressed in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, with highest expression levels found in adult liver tissue, alongside notable presence in various adult tissues and fetal lung, kidney, and liver. Understanding ABCA6 function is essential, as ABCA6 may influence lipid transport and metabolism, which are critical for cellular function and overall health.
