SEE ALSO...

AADAC Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects AADAC in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AADAC (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AADAC, a single-pass type II membrane protein located in the endoplasmic reticulum, is crucial for the metabolic activation of arylamine substrates, which can lead to the formation of ultimate carcinogens. AADAC expression in hepatocytes, intestinal mucosal cells, pancreas, and adrenal gland highlights AADAC′s importance in lipid metabolism and detoxification processes. AADAC interacts with related proteins such as AADACL1 and AADACL2, which are also involved in lipid metabolism and can influence cancer cell behavior. AADAC and AADAC family members′ hydrolysis of metabolic intermediates is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing toxic lipid species accumulation, thereby playing a significant role in protecting tissues from lipotoxicity.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390592 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
