AADAC Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AADAC protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AADAC (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AADAC, or arylacetamide deacetylase, is a crucial enzyme located in the endoplasmic reticulum, primarily expressed in hepatocytes, intestinal mucosal cells, the pancreas, and the adrenal gland. This single-pass type II membrane protein plays a significant role in lipid metabolism, particularly in the assembly of very-low-density lipoproteins (VLDLs) by mobilizing triacylglycerol from the cytosolic pool through lipolysis and re-esterification. AADAC contributes to the metabolic activation of arylamine substrates, which can lead to the formation of ultimate carcinogens. AADAC interacts with related proteins such as AADACL1 and AADACL2, which are also involved in lipid metabolism and can influence cancer cell behavior. Disruption of AADAC function can impair ether lipid metabolism, affecting cell migration and tumor growth, highlighting its potential as a target for therapeutic intervention in cancer and metabolic disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390591 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
