HSF1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSF1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HSF1 monoclonal antibody (E-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSF1 plays a crucial role in cellular response to stress, particularly thermal and chemical stress, by regulating the expression of heat shock proteins that help protect cells from damage. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and promoting cell survival under adverse conditions. HSF1 is typically present as a monomer, but upon activation, forms trimers that translocate to the nucleus, where HSF1 binds to heat shock elements in promoter regions of target genes, facilitating transcription. HSF1 is upregulated by estrogen, which enhances activity at both mRNA and protein levels, further underscoring importance in cellular stress responses and potential implications in diseases related to stress and inflammation.
