CD1A Antibody (O10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the CD1A protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-CD1A antibody (O10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The CD1 multigene family encodes five forms of the CD1 T-cell surface glycoprotein in humans, designated CD1A, CD1B, CD1C, CD1D, and CD1E. CD1A, a type 1 membrane protein, plays a crucial role in the immune system by presenting lipid antigens to T lymphocytes, which is essential for the recognition of lipid-based pathogens and the activation of specific immune responses. CD1A protein is primarily expressed on Langerhans cells, cortical thymocytes, a subset of B cells, and certain dendritic cells, making CD1A a significant marker for Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). CD1A trafficking is regulated by adaptor-protein complexes and CD1-associated chaperones, which are vital for the development and activation of CD1-restricted T cells. Additionally, human CD1 genes are closely linked in a cluster located at chromosome 1q23.1, highlighting their evolutionary significance and functional interdependence in immune responses.
