Smad4 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Smad4 of mouse, rat, and human origin through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Smad4 monoclonal antibody (B-8) is offered in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Smad4, also known as DPC4, plays a crucial role as a central mediator in the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) and bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathways, which are essential for regulating cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. By interacting with other Smad family members, Smad4 facilitates transcriptional regulation of target genes, thereby influencing developmental processes and tissue homeostasis. Smad4 (B-8) antibody specificity allows researchers to effectively study function and interactions, particularly in the context of TGFβ/BMP signaling, where Smad4 is essential for mediating pathway effects.
