MMP-21 Activators

Matrix Metallopeptidase 21 (MMP-21), also known as Matrix Metalloproteinase-21, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MMP21 gene. This protein belongs to the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family, which are zinc-dependent endopeptidases known for their ability to degrade various components of the extracellular matrix (ECM).MMPs play crucial roles in a variety of physiological processes such as cell proliferation, migration, differentiation, angiogenesis, apoptosis, and host defense.
