GM 6001, a cell-permeable hydroxamic acid isomer, has been reported to potently inhibit human skin MMP-1 (fibroblast collagenase; Ki = 0.4nM) Additionally, this compound has been shown to act as an antagonist of TNFα release and processing in cells. Furthermore, GM 6001 has displayed the capacity to block several MMP (matrix metalloproteases), which are enzymes thought to be involved in angiogenesis. GM 6001, Negative Control is available as sc-295025. GM 6001 is an inhibitor of MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-8, MMP-9, MMP-12, MT-MMP-1 (MMP-14), MMP-26.
