KRTAP12-2 Activators

KRTAP12-2 activators are chemical compounds that can increase the functional activity of KRTAP12-2, a protein known to be regulated by calcium levels. U73122, a phospholipase C inhibitor, enhances the availability of certain phospholipids, leading to an increase in KRTAP12-2 activity. Calcium modulators such as Thapsigargin, a SERCA inhibitor, Capsaicin, a vanilloid receptor agonist, and Carbachol, a cholinergic agonist, increase cytosolic calcium levels, leading to enhanced KRTAP12-2 activity. SKF96365, a non-selective inhibitor of receptor-mediated calcium entry, Ionomycin, a calcium ionophore, Nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker, Dantrolene, a ryanodine receptor antagonist, and Verapamil, an L-type calcium channel blocker, all modulate calcium levels, indirectly enhancing KRTAP12-2 activity.

Clopidogrel, a P2Y12 receptor antagonist, enhances KRTAP12-2 activity by increasing the availability of ADP, a known activator of KRTAP12-2. Lysophosphatidic Acid, a phospholipid derivative, and Fura-2/AM, a calcium indicator, can also enhance KRTAP12-2 activity. Lysophosphatidic Acid does so by activating G protein-coupled receptors, leading to increasedcalcium levels, while Fura-2/AM modulates calcium levels to indirectly enhance KRTAP12-2 activity.
