SKF96365, a non-selective inhibitor of receptor-mediated calcium entry, Ionomycin, a calcium ionophore, Nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker, Dantrolene, a ryanodine receptor antagonist, and Verapamil, an L-type calcium channel blocker, all modulate calcium levels, indirectly enhancing KRTAP12-2 activity.
Clopidogrel, a P2Y12 receptor antagonist, enhances KRTAP12-2 activity by increasing the availability of ADP, a known activator of KRTAP12-2. Lysophosphatidic Acid, a phospholipid derivative, and Fura-2/AM, a calcium indicator, can also enhance KRTAP12-2 activity. Lysophosphatidic Acid does so by activating G protein-coupled receptors, leading to increasedcalcium levels, while Fura-2/AM modulates calcium levels to indirectly enhance KRTAP12-2 activity.
