I did a blast using human USP14 against the Drosophila USP14, and the similarity between sequences is 55.3%. I would like to know if there would be a possibility of getting a small amount to test this antibody (USP14 Antibody (F-4): sc-398009) in flies.

Thank you for your question. Please get in touch with our technical service department to arrange for a free sample of this antibody. Please be aware though, that sequence identity of 55% is very low for monoclonal antibodies and the product is very unlikely to recognize a protein with such a comparatively low level of sequence conservation.

The website only cites that "this antibody raised against amino acids 195-494 mapping at the C-terminus of USP14". I'm wondering whether the detailed amino acid targeting map of this monoclonal antibody is reachable?

I am using USP14 (F-4): sc-398009 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?
