p-NHE-3 Antibody (14D5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects p-NHE-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. anti-p-NHE-3 antibody (14D5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p-NHE-3, also known as solute carrier family 9 isoform-3 or SLC9A3, plays a crucial role in maintaining ion homeostasis, particularly in the kidney and intestine, where p-NHE-3 is a key player in sodium absorption. p-NHE-3 is primarily located in the apical membrane of epithelial cells, which is vital for p-NHE-3′s function in reabsorbing sodium ions from the renal tubules and intestinal lumen. Proper functioning of p-NHE-3 is essential for regulating extracellular fluid volume and blood pressure, as well as for maintaining the acid-base balance in the body. Dysregulation of p-NHE-3 can lead to various pathophysiological conditions, including hypertension and metabolic disorders, highlighting p-NHE-3′s importance in physiological processes.
