N-CoR Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects N-CoR in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). N-CoR monoclonal antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. N-CoR (nuclear receptor corepressor) plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation by interacting with nuclear receptors in their unliganded state, thereby repressing transcription. N-CoR is particularly important in retinoid signaling, as N-CoR modulates retinoic acid receptors (RARs), which are essential for vertebrate development and tissue differentiation. N-CoR interaction with RARs maintains the balance of gene expression during developmental processes, as N-CoR release upon ligand binding allows for target gene activation. With 2453 amino acids, N-CoR contains specific domains that facilitate nuclear receptor interaction, underscoring N-CoR significance in cellular signaling pathways.
