葡萄糖-6-磷酸1-脱氢酶（G6PD）在磷酸戊糖途径中起着重要作用。它是葡萄糖-6-磷酸脱氢酶家族蛋白的成员。G6PD是一种普遍存在的酶，产生戊糖用于核酸合成，但也参与碳水化合物的降解，因为它是NADPH还原力的主要生产者之一。G6PD以NADP作为辅因子和结构元素。它可以以同源二聚体或同源四聚体的形式存在，主要在淋巴母细胞、粒细胞和精子中检测到。G6PD的缺陷可导致慢性非球形溶血性贫血（CNSHA），尤其是在疟疾流行的地区。G6PD缺陷水平较高的个体发生急性溶血发作的风险较高。
