ZSWIM8 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ZSWIM8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZSWIM8 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZSWIM8 protein, consisting of 1,837 amino acids, features a SWIM-type zinc finger motif, which is crucial for protein-protein interactions and transcriptional regulation. ZSWIM8 protein undergoes post-translational modification through phosphorylation at serine residues 567, 1040, and 1042, which can influence activity and interactions with other cellular proteins. ZSWIM8 exists as five alternatively spliced isoforms, and ZSWIM8 gene is located on human chromosome 10, a region that harbors over 800 genes and is associated with various genetic disorders, including Cowden syndrome and Cockayne syndrome. ZSWIM8 research is significant not only for understanding biological functions but also for potential implications in cancer research and therapeutic development, as ZSWIM8 may interact with key regulatory proteins involved in cell cycle control and apoptosis.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514204 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
