ZHX2 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZHX2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZHX2 (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZHX2 functions as a transcriptional repressor, primarily localized in the nucleus, where ZHX2 regulates gene expression by interacting with the activation domain of the A subunit of nuclear factor-Y (NF-YA). This interaction maintains proper cellular function and development, as dysregulation of ZHX2 can lead to various diseases, including hepatocellular carcinoma, where hypermethylation-mediated silencing of ZHX2 is observed. ZHX proteins, including ZHX2, are characterized by two Cys(2)-His(2)-type zinc-finger motifs and five homeodomains, enabling homodimer and heterodimer formation. This structural capability is essential for transcriptional repressor function, although dimerization is not strictly necessary for repressive activity.
