    SEE ALSO...

ZDHHC20 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ZDHHC20 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZDHHC20 antibody (A-4) is available in non-conjugated form. ZDHHC20, or zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 20, is a 365 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and membrane dynamics. ZDHHC20 functions primarily as a palmitoyltransferase, facilitating the addition of palmitate to cysteine residues on target proteins, which is essential for regulating protein localization, stability, and interactions. This post-translational modification is vital for the proper functioning of various signaling pathways, as it influences the membrane association of proteins and their subsequent activity. ZDHHC20 is subject to phosphorylation in response to DNA damage, which may alter its activity and interactions, highlighting its importance in cellular stress responses. The gene encoding ZDHHC20 is located on human chromosome 13, a region that is rich in genes associated with critical cellular functions, including tumor suppression and cell cycle regulation.
