SEE ALSO...

XylT-II Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects XylT-II protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XylT-II (G-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. XylT-II protein, also known as UDP-D-xylose:proteoglycan core protein β-D-xylosyltransferase 2, plays a crucial role in glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis, essential components of proteoglycans that contribute to extracellular matrix structural integrity and function. XylT-II protein is primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus, where UDP-xylose transfer to specific serine residues on target proteins occurs, a process vital for proper glycosaminoglycan chain formation. XylT-II protein activity is particularly important in tissues such as kidney and pancreas, where high expression occurs, and dysregulation can lead to various pathological conditions. Anti-XylT-II antibody (G-1) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying glycosylation roles in cellular processes and disease mechanisms.
