    SEE ALSO...

XylT-I Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects XylT-I of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XylT-I (E-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Xylosyltransferase-I (XylT-I), also known as UDP-D-xylose:proteoglycan core protein β-D-xylosyltransferase 1, plays a crucial role in glycosaminoglycan chain biosynthesis, which are essential components of proteoglycans. XylT-I catalyzes UDP-xylose transfer to serine residues within specific recognition sequences on target proteins, a process vital for proper formation and function of extracellular matrix components. XylT-I shows varying expression levels across tissues, with higher levels in placenta, kidney, and pancreas, and lower levels in skeletal muscle. XylT-I is also involved in chondrocyte and tumor cell activity, highlighting its significance in both normal physiology and pathological conditions. XylT-I presence in diverse biological contexts underscores its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions and research applications.
