SEE ALSO...

XRCC2 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects XRCC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XRCC2 (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. XRCC2 plays a crucial role in the repair of DNA double-strand breaks through homologous recombination, a vital process for maintaining genomic stability during cell division. XRCC2 is essential for the proper functioning of the DNA repair machinery, facilitating the exchange of genetic material between sister chromatids, thereby ensuring accurate repair and preventing mutations that could lead to cancer. Additionally, XRCC2 interacts with other key proteins involved in DNA repair, such as Rad51, which is critical for the homologous recombination repair pathway. Deficiencies in XRCC2 can lead to increased sensitivity to DNA-damaging agents and contribute to genomic instability, underscoring its importance in cellular health and the prevention of tumorigenesis.
