SEE ALSO...

XLF Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects XLF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-XLF antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. XLF protein, also known as XRCC4-like factor or non-homologous end-joining factor 1 (NHEJ1), is a crucial 295 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ) pathway, which is one of the primary mechanisms for repairing DNA double-strand breaks. This pathway is essential for maintaining genomic stability, as cells can quickly and efficiently repair DNA damage that occurs due to various factors, including radiation and oxidative stress. XLF interacts with DNA Ligase IV and XRCC4, forming a vital enzymatic core that stabilizes the repair process. Additionally, XLF undergoes post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, which can influence activity and interactions within the NHEJ machinery. Understanding these modifications is important, as they can affect the efficiency of DNA repair and have implications in cancer biology and therapeutic resistance.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-166488 X be used instead of the standard form sc-166488?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
