SEE ALSO...

Xinα Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Xinα protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Xinα (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Xinα protein, also known as CMYA1 (Cardiomyopathy-associated protein 1) or XIRP1 (xin actin-binding repeat containing 1), is a crucial 1,843 amino acid protein that plays a vital role in protecting actin filaments from depolymerization, maintaining cytoskeleton integrity. Xinα protein is primarily located at cell junctions alongside actin stress fibers, containing 15 Xin repeats essential for stabilizing actin-based structures and facilitating microfilament crosslinking with actin networks. Xinα protein interacts with several key proteins, including β-catenin, Filamin, and VASP (vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein), important for various cellular processes. Xinα protein shares 78% similarity with mouse counterpart and is expressed in heart as three alternatively spliced isoforms designated A, B, and C. In mice, Xinα protein is essential for proper heart tube formation and correct cardiac looping, indicating human homolog may have similar critical functions in cardiac development and health.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not the cleanest of blots, but it worksGot to use with westerns on NRVMs. Some non-specific bands around the band of interest, so not super clean, but the xin alpha band is strong.
