SEE ALSO...

WTAP Antibody (D-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects WTAP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WTAP Antibody (D-7) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wilms′ tumor 1-associating protein (WTAP) plays a crucial role in mRNA splicing regulation and is predominantly located in nuclear speckles, which are essential for pre-mRNA processing and storage. WTAP′s nuclear speckle localization enables interactions with splicing factors and regulatory proteins, influencing gene expression and cellular responses during G2/M cell cycle transition. WTAP enhances cyclin A2 stability by binding to its 3′ untranslated region, which is vital for proper cell cycle progression. WTAP inhibits WT1 target gene expression and can impair WT1′s DNA-binding ability, highlighting WTAP′s regulatory importance in cellular processes. Alternative splicing events produce two WTAP isoforms, adding complexity to WTAP′s function in cellular regulation.
